In Idaho, average radon levels are about 7.3 pCi/L — nearly twice the recommended level of 4 pCi/L. Elevated levels are found in about 2 out of 5 homes.

Short-Term Testing

Measures radon levels over a period of 2 to 7 days under closed-home conditions. Used to identify elevated levels quickly and determine whether further action is needed.

Long-Term Monitoring

Measures radon levels over 90 days or more, capturing natural fluctuations caused by weather, ventilation, and seasonal changes. Provides a more representative annual average.
